Description
This is my answer to the idea of Minecraft Lego. [Official Minecraft Lego is being released in a few months [link] ]
I designed this island set using the Lego Digital Designer computer program, and ordered it through their Design-By-Me service the day before it closed down "until further notice".
The set is made from about 850 pieces on a 36x36 blue base. I added a few parts from old LEGO sets [Skeleton, Chests, the Creeper].
The Creeper was probably the most annoying part to make. The issue was mostly just to getting it to a reasonable scale with the environment. I actually had to use a Dremel to cut one piece to size [the piece between the torso and legs].
I decided to make each block 4 tiles in height instead of 5 [5 would make them perfect cubes], mostly because it would have cost too much to add an extra tile layer onto each block level. I think it still retains the same overall Minecraft look regardless of this.

Overall Vision Originality Technique ImpactAn impressive work done out of minimal parts. The photography angles capture each subject quite well, and the lighting does wonders for the set. Even without the actual set, you have done quite a feat. The most creative part most definitely being the creeper (I assume you either painted the face or used stickers?).
Overall, an astounding image pressed into a remarkably small area. Hopefully we can picture sets like this with the official release.
Hmm, still need about thirty words, so I suppose I'll end off with:
"That's a very nissssssse island you have there... it sssssssssssure would be a ssssssssssshame if anything were to happen to it..."
